Meet Caroline

Known for her sunny disposition and playful personality, Caroline Pillow grew up in a small town right outside of Memphis, Tennessee. After her breakthrough role as “Rich Child #3” in a production of Annie at the age of 7, Caroline has since been in over 25 shows since and has only picked up steam. Now, she has graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor’s of Music in Musical Theatre with a minor in Theatrical Directing and is currently based in St. Louis.

Caroline made her professional debut in Cabaret at the New Jewish Theatre in St. Louis as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie/Dance Captain this past spring. While in her undergrad at Oklahoma City University, she has appeared as Margaret Johnson in The Light in the Piazza and Serena in Legally Blonde. Regionally, she’s performed in Grease (Jan), Titanic (Kate Mullins/Madeleine Astor), andThe 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Olive Ostrovsky). For her role in Spelling Bee, Caroline was nominated for a BroadwayWorld Award in 2023 for “Best Performer in a Musical”.

As a director, Caroline has worked with the Texas Shakespeare Festival during their 2024 summer season as Assistant Director for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Assistant Choreographer for Much Ado About Nothing, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Sweeney Todd. She has also taught at Memphis’ Playhouse on the Square and Plano’s North Texas Performing Arts, where she helped over 400+ kids write, produce, and perform their own short works. Caroline directed her first full-length show Peter and the Starcatcher in the spring of 2024 as a guest director for the OKC Parks and Rec. In the fall of 2025, she is slated to make her St. Louis directing debut Finding Nemo KIDS at the St. Louis Jewish Community Center.

Caroline has also dipped her toes into the world of art administration. She has acted as house manager for shows at Oklahoma City University, Germantown Community Theatre in Memphis, and most recently, The Center of Creative Arts in St. Louis. She has also acted as Box Office Manager and Social Media Manager at Germantown Community Theatre.

When she’s not in the theater, Caroline has a small business for hand-lettering, embroidery, and calligraphy where she creates pieces for weddings, showers, graduations, you name it!
