Meet Caroline

Caroline Pillow is a professional actor, director, and teaching artist originally from Memphis, TN and is now based in the St. Louis area. She graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor’s of Music in Musical Theatre with a minor in Theatrical Directing in May 2024.

Recent performance credits for Caroline include Fraulein Kost, Fritzie, and Dance Captain for Cabaret (St. Louis Theatre Circle Award for “Best Ensemble”), Jan in Grease, Margaret Johnson in The Light in the Piazza, Kate Mullins/Madeleine Astor in Titanic, and Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. In February 2027, Caroline is slated to appear in Amadeus as the Chorus with the St. Louis Actors’ Studio.

As a director, Caroline has worked with the Texas Shakespeare Festival during their 2024 summer season as Assistant Director for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Associate Festival Choreographer for Much Ado About Nothing, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Sweeney Todd. Additionally, Caroline has worked with Memphis’ Playhouse on the Square, North Texas Performing Arts, Gateway Center for Performing Arts, the Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation Department, Mary Queen of Peace, and The Jewish Community Center’s KIDS Theatre Program. Caroline is a big advocate for theatre education and making art accessible to all.

When she’s not in the theater, Caroline has a small business for hand-lettering, embroidery, and calligraphy where she creates pieces for weddings, showers, graduations, you name it! She also loves reading and annotating books, making flower arrangements, playing Dungeons and Dragons, cultivating her cozy games on her Nintendo Switch, and hanging out with her cat, Lion.
